Classing himself as a singer-song  collector, his most comfortable and relaxed place in the past has been singing and  playing music throughout Ireland, Scotland and North America. In 1992 he toured  the East Coast of America performing in Universities, Irish Centres and Pubs, doing workshops on Irish/Scottish traditional music and song. He then formed the band Innish, comprising Peter on guitar – vocals, melodeon  and harmonicas, Brendan Mulholland (flute, whistle) and Mark Mulligan (fiddle –  bodhran drum). Innish preformed at festivals, cultural events and also did some  cross community work. The bands repertoire was a good cross-section of Irish  traditional music and song. When the members of Innish went their separate ways,  Peter went solo again, collecting and writing more songs. His aim is it to perform at festivals, Folk Clubs and cultural events as his repertoire  suits these venues. Peter also sings for the band Ailsa, comprising Peter on guitar  and vocals, Wilbert Garvin (uilleann pipes, whistles) and Barbara Gray  (keyboards).   Dalriada Audio Productions Carey Studios, County Antrim, Northern Ireland Retail pricing on request to info@petermccune.com
Samples of the CD - Press > to start Built in Belfast - Titanic This unique story written by Peter McCune a former Harland  and Wolf carpenter tells of the life and times of the workers,  designers, builders, passengers and crew of the RMS Titanic. The story being told by Peter with added sound effects really  brings to life the conception to the sinking of this great ship  and is a tribute to all people of the time of which it happened.  A great listen.  Bonnywood Green I collected this song from the late Billy Moore, of Connor village just outside  Ballymena County Antrim. Billy travelled around Ireland, like many of us, collecting  songs, tunes and stories. I was lucky enough to live beside him for a while and got  to know the area in and around Ballymena. Woodgreen is only a stone's throw from  Connor and Kells, and is more of a town land I suppose. This is another favourite of  mine, because I can relate to the area of which it's about thanks to Billy, many  songs have been passed on, to be kept alive, and enjoyed.

It was written by  Eamon Freil of County Derry. About his  childhood holidays in County Mayo. It  has been a favourite of mine ever  since. I have sung this song quite a lot,  in Mayo where it always gets a great  welcome. The feeling of Mayo is very  well captured in the last verse, with its  scenes, silence and beauty. A great county!  CD available from  info@petermccune.com
