His B - C and C# - D instruments can have the players preferred tunings.  Peter uses mainly Honhner and Tam reeds. Finished with chrome furnishings and soft padded  leather straps. Matt or gloss finish can be applied to suit different people. Although not much  new mechanisms design can be can be added to many years of melodeon and accordion  design Peter is concentrating more on different timbers and technic of assembly.  The Dalriada  has a fast lightweight button action and a flat fingerboard.   The name Dalriada comes for the ancient kingdom of Dalriada, taking in the north coast of  Ireland, the Islands from Rathlin up and along the western coast of Scotland. The front cover  plate design is a map of South Dalriada, in case you are ever asked.  Peter has asked two friends Ciaran Kelly and Terry Bingham, two well-known box players to  play and review the Dalriada box.
